Scrambled Eggs!

My students love scrambled eggs.  First I purchased white plastic eggs and write a number on each one (1 to 12).  Next I put the letters of one of our sight words inside each of the eggs.  The words are color coded so if one falls on the floor the students can easily find the egg to which it belongs.

Students choose an egg and remove the letters.  Then they put the letters in order to make a word. Finally on the recording sheet they write the word next to the number on the egg.

Here are 24 color coded words to choose from:

  1. Love the idea of color coding the words. I am always losing pieces to games, and that would help.
    Thanks for sharing.
